Charles Jones

I need some help please, here goes, my GG Grandfather born in france, Charles Jones in 1834, came to Australia about age 19, states on death transcript. On the 1879 electoral role he was at wangoola residence cowra, he died 25th jan 1888 in cowra hospital. On the transcript he had 4 children a  Charles Edward Jones a  Annie Jones 1880, Alfred jones 1882 and ellen jones 1884 all born cowra area and to a ann davis, payne, reid or a ellen davis the mother of Charles children had all different names. Now on the childrens birth certificate states Charles (father) of the children was born in Hablgrass and also a Havara  in france. I think he could not read or write Charles ages kept changing so I don't even know if his births are right. It said on his Charles death cert that he was 35 years in Australia, died 1888 at age 54 years. If I could find out how and when he came to Australia and where he was born or how to get a hold of these records would be a start, thankyou sandra
