We cannot post names of people who may still be alive so do take care.
Otherwise, if you post your interest someone may be able to help.
http://www.freebmd.org.uk. Shows some birth, marriages and deaths for that period for Pomfret in Windsor.
Perhaps you will find something there to help.

Hello again,
It's difficult to help you when you apparently only know a surname - and now perhaps an occupation.
Have you looked on Free BMD as suggested to see if any names are familiar?
You mention elsewhere a Henry P who died aged 62 yrs. When did he die?
I can see a 64 yr old Henry who died in 1900 but then you want 1940s and 50s.

Do you have any names at all - bearing in mind no living persons please.

I think Henry P died in 1962. I have looked on BMD. His death is registered on there which said Eton. Does this mean he is buried there? I know he passed away at Upton Hospital (Slough)
Also tried to look for marriage certificate but could not find anything. However it is hard because I do not know the name of his potential spouse if he was married.

You see, I have reason to believe he had one or two children with a Mrs O. Hawkes

Hello again,

You would be best to purchase his death certificate. It may help with an address, occupation and the informant's name. However, it may not be much use- it us a risk.

The death you refer to was 1961 not 1962 and shows a birth abt 1898.

There is a published tree which shows him as the son of Joseph  Willam Pomfret and Emma Cox. You could search for them in 1911 census.
