1841, 1851 census look up please Thomas SYKES

Would it be possible for someone to look at the 1841 and 1851 census, I'm trying to find Thomas SYKES b around 1795, living in Witcham, possibly born in Elsworth. I know that his children Edward (1817), Anthony (1818), Lucy (1821) and Thomas (1824) were all born in Witcham to his wife Elizabeth, but there may be a second wife Ann and more children born between 1827 and 1838.

1851 census has a Thomas Sykes born c1800 Elsworth living in Huntingdonshire, with wife Ann and niece, none of the younger kids are there, so not sure if this is your man.

There is a death of a Thomas Sykes March Qtr. 1846 Ely, which covers Witcham district.

A remarriage in 1849 of an Ann Sykes to a Phillip Papworth, she can be found in the 1851 census in Witcham with new husband Phillip and his two children and her son 13 year old John SYKES.

Class HO107,  Piece 1764,  Folio 162, Page 6.

Thank you so much Clare and Suz! That certainly seems the right family in 1841, and sounds very like Thomas must have died before 1851 when Ann remarries - I'll try to check the 1846 death of Thomas Sykes, sounds like him.

Shame though I was really hoping to find out where Thomas was born - haven't been able to find any birth records for him, only the one born in Elsworth which doesn't seem likely now. Also haven't found any death records for Elizabeth, although she must have died sometime between 1824 and 1826 around Witcham, at least the census shows I'm on the right track. Thanks again

Oh that's great, thanks again Claire! Everyone on this forum is so helpful! I don't suppose you can see a death for Elizabeth Sykes around 1824-1826? (Hope it's not too rude to ask?)

Cambs Burial Index 1801-37 can be found at http://www.cfhs.org.uk/searchsd.cfm but I can't see a burial of an Elizabeth Sykes in 1824-7
