The marriage of Timothy Cunningham and Bridget Dunne is on rootsireland ~ a pay per view site.

Playing with the free index shows that Timothy's father was called James SO - that means that EITHER of Eilis' earlier possibilites for Timothy's birth are still in the running.

HUM, now just to figure out which !

HUM

I'm leading more towards the James Cunningham & Mary Kerins scenario.

Checking the children of James Cunningham & Ellen Hoctor throws up the address of Parsonstown, Offaly which is not Tullamore.

Please double check though !

Tara , you are amazing . Yes my great grandparents names were Bridget Grennan and Timothy Cunningham. As far as marriage certs and birth certs go I have no info like that at all. Long story but I haven't access to any of these details. You have been of so much help. I'm wondering where the connection lies between the cunningh man shot in birr castle and my granddad ? Would he of been his uncle ???

Regards,
Emer

Hi Emer, I'm afraid I might not be able to offer much help as this isn't a name I am tracing, however, I do have a Maureen Cunningham from Tullamore in my family tree so thought it might be worth a mention.  I think she was born in either July or October around 1932 and emigrated to America (New York) when she was in her teens.  Her mother was known as 'Nan' Cunningham but I never knew what the 'Nan' was short for.  Maureen had a cousin called Kathleen who lived in Warrington, England (who also had relatives in Tullamore) and Maureen became my auntie when she married my uncle Ted (Edward) Woods, also from Warrington.  Although continuing to live in New York she and Ted often visited her relatives in Tullamore.  The last I heard she had moved back to Ireland (presumably Tullamore) after her retirement.  Of course, she may be no connection to your Cunninghams but, then again, she might just be your grandfather's cousin.  Good luck with your investigations!

Hi Emer

Re Certificates

All certs can be ordered through the GRO in Roscommon ~ you just give them the names & references that I gave you and ask for a RESEARCH copy ~ they cost €4 each.

Emer,

Were you told that Patrick Cunningham was related ?

Going on ages IF he was related then he would be the brother of your Great Grandad Timothy Cunningham !

Get back to me if you have more facts on the connection and I shall have another look for you !

Hi Emer

Re Bridget Grennan Cunningham

Have you worked on your Grennan line ?

Do you think that his is her in 1911 ?
