I'm looking for some info on my grandmas parents ,i only have bits of info, my grandma name was Edna Elsie she was born 30Th march 1893 19 highstone lane common, worsborough Barnsley york.........but i would like to find information on her parents......thomas Dawson and Sarah Dawson ,(nee timins) family who are now deceased said they came from market rasen  have looked at census but drawn blanks........Sarah Dawson signs her name with an x on her daughters birth certificate.......please and information where i should look next......thanks again

Ivy Harriet Hannah Dawson showing on the 1911 free index at family search is living with the Timms family in 1911 - described as a niece.

Sarah Timms married Thomas Dawson - Glanford B =-  7a 845
March 1890

Thankyou so much sandra.....i was told that sarah and thomas both died in their thirtys so that could explain why ivy harriet  is living with timms family , can you tell me where timms family were living at that time.......and where do i look next for thomas and sarahs births....sorry for all the questions its all so new....thanks again x

There is a birth record for Thomas Dawson 26 January 1868 Market Rasen Lincolnshire. If correct it indicates parents Thomas Dawson and Fanny.

The 1871 Census Caistor Market Rasen however shows a Henry Dawson and Fanny.

Thanks sandra,  unbeliveabley i stopped off in market rasen last saturday!! To look around the church yard ....but all garves were laid flat and and covered in grass....

Following John James Timms back (he was the Uncle of Ivy in 1911) He appears on the 1871 40 Rowland Steet. Frodingham Lincolnshire. That would be the year before Sarah was born

Hannah Timms  32 Iron Furnace Mans Wife. Born Marston Bedfordshire.
Richard Timms  14 Shunter. Born Bloomfield.
David Timms  11 Born West Bromwich.
William Timms  8 Born Marston.
John James Timms  7 Born Derby.
