John Steele and Annie Mathieson children

Hello

John Steele born in 1875 in Great Clifton to John and Hannah Steel married in 1903 in Cockermouth to Annie Mathieson and they are in Durham on the 1911 census.

Did they have any children?

If you have them on the 1911 census then that should tell you whether they had any children at that point. If they had any after that then you should be able to find them on freebmd by entering their surname and the motherīs maiden name.

Let us know what that search turns up and then we can think about any other hints you might need to search for them.

I can't see any  births  of   a  Steele /Mathieson    match (  or   Steel spelling either ,  )   on Free BMD . Looking  at  Annies age  on 1911    seems  unlikely they would have  had   children

 I noticed  from 1901  census  Annie  was married  to  a  John ,   so  any  children  would  have  her maiden  name     not  Mathieson ,   so   off to  check again

I had a feeling that John didn't have children, I mean they were married in 1903 and had no children in 1911, that's no children in 8 years
