No sign of Donald, but clearly the family were moving around as address is Longford for Emma but yet she was baptised in Dublin.

Having another think about that there is a Longford Street in Dublin.

Thank you so much, Sinnan.  I have been looking for Emma's birth for 4 years!
Thank you for the info on Kate and Frederick too.
The father, Donald, was born in Inverness, married in Dublin, and first child Annie was born in Ayrshire - so yes, it does seem that he moved about a bit!  I don't know where he died!

The children's births should be on the civil registration but I'm having trouble finding Emma, I wonder if they did go to Longford if this could be her, https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FBWZ-C3T, hard to know.

Could father have died youngish in Londonderry?
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FTZ6-RZH

This has to be Kate
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FB3J-L47

The surname is getting mangled, no wonder they are hard to find.

Too bad there's no Will but perhaps his death was unexpected-
Letters of Administration of the personal estate of Donald Macrae late of Ebrington-terrace Londonderry Insurance Agent who died 13 February 1894 at same place were granted [7 March] at Londonderry to Kate Macrae of Ebrington-terrace the Widow.Effects 200

Donald listed as widowed on marriage to Catherine in 1868-
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FGZ5-NH8

Perhaps his 1st marriage? (1865)
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FGDD-9L6
... and a son from that marriage born Scotland (1866)-

Thanks, Sinnan and Aghadowey.

That does look like Emma's birth in Longford.  Pity the parents are not named.
It could well be her father Donald's death, 'Londonderry Insurance Agent', as he did seem to move around.
Yes, I had found a birth record for Kate (spelt correctly!)  on family search, and also on Ancestry.
I hadn't found that marriage record for Donald, only the corresponding one for Kate, which didn't name Donald's father.  Alarmed to find the father's name listed as John Macrae, as family records have him as Duncan, but perhaps he was 'John Duncan'.  I'll need to search again for his birth.
I knew Donald had been married before, but hadn't found anything!

You guys are great  - thank you so much
