I've just come across your posting re Emma Macrae. Emma and her siblings were my grandmother's first cousins. My great-grandmother was Sarah Ann Stevenson, Kate Stevenson's younger sister. I'd love to exchange info on the family and find out more about your branch. Hope you see this.

Hi Viedora.
I don't have Sarah Ann Stevenson on my tree.
Was she a sister of my GGmother Catherine (Kathleen) Ida STEVENSON (c1846-c1900)?
In 1868, she married Donald Macrae who was born c1841 in Inverness, and died 1894, in Londonderry.

I now know that my Gmother Emma was born 1881 in Longford, Ireland.

Regards
Eleanor

Hi Eleanor

I'm so pleased to have contacted you. I don't know how much you know about the Stevenson family from Dublin. Your Catherine (Kate) married Donald Macrae in Dublin on 15 July 1868 and I believe they both died in Londonderry in 1894. Kate was about 20 years older than Sarah and were 2 of the children of Henry Stevenson and Sarah Hardy. Irish research can be difficult but I've identified 9 definite children of this couple in total. My grandmother kept in contact with the descendants of Henry Hardy Macrae, (brother of Emma Stevenson Macrae), until she died in the 1960s. Do you know anything about the descendants of the other Macrae siblings?
I'm away on holiday for a week now but would love to correspond with you on our mutual ancestors.
Regards
Vivienne

Must be a mistake. Kenneth Fairley was Emma Stevenson MACRAE's son.

Thank you for replying. Could I possibly phone you about Kenneth. I am a Dutch historian. I would be most grateful.
