Hi there, this is my first post, I am researching my direct Paternal line at the moment which starts with Francis Lobb born 1814 in Cornwall who was married to Elizabeth Teague [or Teagus as mispelt in 1851 census] At the moment I think they had 5 children[William Henry/Francis Treverton/Elizabeth/Fanny Teague/ Frederick John], all born or living mostly in Plymouth area of St Germans.
I have a fair bit of info to start coming through the 19c but have drawn a blank on pre 1814. This family had a tradition of carrying mother maiden names as middle names hence clues are Treverton/ Tegue/ and possibly Baynton.

Any help appreciated

My 4th Maternal .gg is Samuel Lobb bn 1760 Padstow Cornwall.

His daughter Maria my g.g.g Nan

I havent however done a lot with that line YET  :)

Hi Xinia, be aware that Lobb seems to be the Cornish + Devon 18th C equivalent of Smith or Jones! Luckily [or not] they thinned out quite a lot by emigrating to the states or Australia.
