There are no BMD registers in Canada. Privacy laws are quite strict. Nothing popping up for either Muriel or George so far.

The 1926 passenger list shows him born England, Whitehaven.
I suspect this is incorrect and that he was born in Scotland.
If you want to check this you could buy a few credits on SP.

The passenger list I saw on FindMyPast for Muriel and Edward Scott travelling on the "Doric" departing Greenock on 17 April 1926, says that both Muriel and Edward were born in Scotland. It does not give an address in Canada, but confirms the Bonese, Westerkirk, Langholm address.

Are you sure? If we are looking at the same form, I think it says that was their last place of residence, not where they were born $:-\$
