Emily Bryant 1836
« on: Monday 18 August 14 01:39 BST (UK) »
Hi All, I am new at this genealogy thing but am loving it and hoping I can find lots of info.  Currently stuck with Emily Bryant 1836 born in England and married Moses Meron(Mearon/Miron) in 1851 in Ottawa.  They had 10 - 12 kids all born in Alymer, Quebec.  I found lots of info on Moses but cannot find anything on Emily.  No Parents or Siblings and don't know where else to look.  In the 1851 Census it shows an Esau Bryant age 16 living with them as an apprentice blacksmith.  He may be a brother to Emily.  In the 1871 census Esau has an Ann Bryant living with him age 73, this may be her mother???  Cannot find anything more please advise

thanks so much Terry Rudyk

Hi
Do you know where in England Emily came from?
Do you know when Emily arrived in Canada? Passenger list?
Could you name their children so that we could look for 'family' names?
Any snippets of information could help.

Heather  :)

Is that date of birth right ie she was married by the age of 15?

That could well be them as I can't see that family in 1851 in England.

Wow I do believe that is her, yes she was married at age 15 and in 1851 She married Moses in Ottawa so they immigrated sometime between 1841 and 1851.  Cannot find info on their immigration but when I found Esau living with them when he was 16 was my only clue to a relative of hers.  Thank you Thank you Thank you

Hi Terry,
In case you haven't got them you can find the baptisms of the children on Family Search Records
This is Emily's
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/JQHF-452

Also a couple of possible marriages for their parents, Thomas and Ann.

thank you all with your help I think I got them lol , found a death record for Thomas Briant in 1839 and of course doesn't show the record.  Would love a copy or know why and how he died so young, obviously didn't immigrate to Canada which would explain why I cant find immigration records if this is even my Thomas - cant be as Esau was born in 1838....this Thomas died in Buckinghamshire which is where they lived - could this be Thomas's Father?  gives no age grrrrr - thanks folks
