Returning emigrants
« on: Tuesday 26 August 14 17:34 BST (UK) »
Is there a list of emigrants who returned to the UK?

I have found an emigration record for Cresswell Patterson, born 1910, who emigrated to Canada on 18 August 1928, but then found a marriage record for him to Simpsonina Bell in 1934, in Northumberland, so obviously, he returned from Canada - but where would I find that record.
Researching the names Mckenzie / Mackenzie from Ross and Cromarty especially Scoraig and Rherivach.

The names Fraser, MacGillivary and Grant from Daviot & Dunlichity.

The name of Fraser from Lanarkshire.

The name of Bell from Northumberland.

The name Chilla / Chylla / Chyla from Poland.

Record for Cresswell Patterson b 1910 aged 18years occupation miner going to 16,Clarence Street Beaton Willington
Port of Departure Montreal,Quebec
Arrival date 17th October 1928 London
Ship Albertic

There is also a Alfred Patterson aged 24 going to 12.Willington Stables Caerphilly don't know if they are related ....So it looks as if he did not stay long in Canada

Record on Ancestry  :)
