Just a little observation re Bernard and Mary Anne's marriage in case you are wondering who the witnessess are. Joseph Kinahan and Margaret Connolly.
I was doing a friends family tree and searching for a couple who both turned out to be widowers and the wife gave her name as Kinahan so seeing Joseph Kinahan as witness of course i surmised a brother or relative..wrong
Joseph Kinahan is the Clerk in St Marys Pro Cathedral and can be found on 1901 Census age 34 at Marlborough St,
Margaret Connolly i cant find on the Census but she along with Joseph appear as witnesses to a few of the other marriages on the same page as Bernard and Mary Anne so not related.
Odd that they had no relatives as witness.

Dathai.

Thank you for this. Seemed odd that Bernard did not have one of his brothers as a witness. I will use the sites given for Dublin. Think I really want to find out about Bernard's father, Felix, who may have been born about 1833 in Co. Armagh.

Please excuse my stupidity, but was Mary Anne Fearie the wife of Bernard Whatley. Mary Anne's parents shown as Patrick Fearie and Mary Anne Gaffrey. I got a little lost with this exchange. I know the parents of Bernard are correct.

I presume when you said Florence possibly died 1942 that you are referring to the burial in 1942 of that name in Mt Gerome.
Just in case i have found who that may be
A Frank Whatley joined Guinness in 1909 age 34 as a Cooper he died in 1931 his wife's name was Florence Whatley.
This is not definite but keep note of it.

Thank you for clearing up the matter regarding the parents of Mary Anne.
I found the record for the burial of Florence on the internet, no concrete evidence.
Bernard's son, b. 1892, Felix shows on the 1901 census, but nowhere on the 1911 census.
Cannot find a Frank Whatley linked to Bernard's generation. The rest of Bernard's family were from Dundalk.
