« on: Sunday 31 August 14 13:52 BST (UK) »
Looking for information regarding Bernard Whately and wife Mary Anne ? who had been married to ? Fearne. Bernard married Mary Anne about 1890 in Co.Dublin, where she was born about 1864.
Would like to know what her maiden name was before she married ? Fearne. Their first child, John Fearne was born about 1883, Dublin City.

Thank you for both replies. Does this mean the 1901 census is wrong. I have found the Fearn's in 1911 census. I am very sure that the original marriage certificate for Mary Anne & Bernard is correct.

Looking at the original image I'm getting less convinced by her father's surname, the f doesn't look much like the f of her name.

Of course it's not his surname silly me, fathers surname isn't recorded on that line but if it's not what is it?

This family http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Dublin/Mountjoy/North_Clarence_St_/1323279/
So there are 4 children listed as step children to Bernard, with the surname Fearn.

Family Search civil reg shows Mary Anne Connor on same page as Mary Anne Fearn in 1890
which leads to John Fearn and Mary Anne Connor marriage Balrothery 1882 July Sep vol 2 page 355.

I read parents names as Patrick Connor and Mary Ann Gaffney.
What does anybody else think.
Added: on parish marriage  record
