Hi Annie

It's one of the Vennels  - maybe Friars Vennel.

I'm sure I had a coffee in one of the 'establishments' there a few years ago  ;D

Thanks Gadget,

You must have exceptional eyesight !!!  ;D

The thing is, I typed a list as in..... Place, Avenue, Crescent, Lane, Road etc. to try & jog my memory to something looking like what has turned out to be "Vennel" which I hadn't typed  ::)

Not really exceptional, Annie - I have to get them checked every year  ;D

Just that I know about Vennels, especially the Dumfries ones -

Gadget,

That was why I put "Dumfries" in the subject line as it is better with someone with knowledge of an area or we could be going round in circles.

I haven't managed to find any pics sadly but I might post on the Dumfries board to see if anyone has any or can get some with our technology these days ?  ;D

Oh & I know what "Vennels" are, I'm a "Fair Maid" !!! :-)
