Hi and welcome to Rootschat, are they the Robert 38 & Mary 37 with 7 children including an Evan Griffith Pierce aged 4 ? Census ref RG11/5555/93/4

Hi yes they are and I am wondering if Thomas pierce 52 glanymorfa1861 census is his father - born in clynnogfawr? Any light on the matter would be very much appreciated diolch

Hi again, that 1871 looks good looking at pob's on 1881, did you notice living next door to Robert & Mary in 1881 were:-

Thomas Pierce 71 Farmer of 20 acres
Ellen 59 b Abererch
Catherine 19
Richard 33
Residing at Glan Y Morfa, Abererch
RG11/5555/93/4

PS would I be correct that you have none of the children's birth certificates which gives maiden name of the mother?

Thomas price head42 farm laborer born clynnogfawr.                                             Ellinor price wife32 abererch Mary 8 Robert10 Richard 4 and John 1month.                                        And to complicate things further   Glanymorfa 1841 Robert Griffith 35 jane  35 Evan John Robert and Ellis.                      1841 Glanymorfa2  Evan Griffith 60 farmer jane Griffith 55 wife.    Thomas pirce 30 agg lab and. Ellinor pirce. Servant.     I am sure that they are all here somewhere!!!!!!!!               I have a poss link to one Thomas pierce   Born December 1807 toRichard Pierce Cilcoed clynnogfawr by Mary his wife

Sorry I have no birth certificate for mothers maiden name but Jane Griffiths is down as mother in law so I gather that she was Mary 's mother she is also in another census with Robert and Mary noted as head widow Iam new to this and it's mind boggling Diolch

Hello again I have been seriously stuck for around two years and you helped when I was starting my search I have hit a brick wall on Pierce Owen probable birth around 1720 married Annie William Llanaelhaearn 18:11i1744 and had william owen jane john mary and ellin his wife passed away 21 9 1766 Pierce remarried jane hughes 15:7:1767 and hadrichard thomas jane richard robert and hugh this is from t ceiri griffiths book. Because of the Welsh way of surnaming this Pierce Owen is causing me a lot of bother!!!! And also there are so many of them I hope you can help. Thank you
