Hi Wollf
Welcome to Rootschat
So that we don't duplicate what you already know, do you know who his parents were and where he was born?
Do you know if he married and to whom?
Do you know when he died?

All I know is that he was married to Mary Ann and he had two daughters in Kingston, Jamaica in 1814 and 1816. Nothing else!

An interesting article says that the 6th. Batt. was raised in Cowes in 1799 from German recruits & was in Jamaica from 1801-15 & disbanded in 1818. So he may have been German which sounds reasonable considering his name.

Thanks so much Heywood! You made my day! I downloaded the record you suggested and it certainly looks like it may be him, the only thing is that is says he was in the 2nd battalion, but maybe that was his original battalion?
