Think this thread is completed - the original question for info on the marriage and children was a difficult one with so many David Watkins around but with perseverance we did find an answer.

Looking at free bmd, William and Minnie had a number of children

Violet May Jacka 1903 Redruth

Hilda May Jacka 1904 Redruth

However there are listed on the census as being the children of David henry Watkins and Minnie and there are two other children, Hilda and Reginald listed, but I cannot find them on the free bmd, plus Violet's age on the census is inaccurate by four years

Pretty confusing

There is only 1 Hilda.  Think you mean Phyllis (not Hilda)  is Phyllis Matthews Jacka - Sept 1906 - Redruth - 5c 175
Reginald could be William Reginald - Sept 1905 - Redruth - 5c 184
Violet Laura - Dec 1907 - Bridgend - 11a 874

Violet May Jacka belongs to an entirely different family - she the daughter of John Jacka and Emily Treglown  ::)

thank you, makes sense, at least that confusion was cleared up.

It looks like William never had children with Minnie, unless there are his children, but listed as David's on the census because they were having an affair behind his back
