Though you were right first time they are an annoying family!I'm even looking now for the possibility of David being Sarah's child and there being a later marriage for Robert and Sarah!Got to try everything!

Well,well,well and well again!It appears we have been taken for a fool!I'm surprised that no-one bothered to look up the marriage I mentioned in 1869 at Newcastle St Giles.This is how Family Search list the marriage;

Now it appears that Robert and Sarah are Elizabeth's parents!The 1851 Census showing Rrobert and Sarah with daughter Elizabeth is indeed the correct one!We have only got to find David with a father Samuel now!

That's fantastic!

I have found who I think may be David in 1861. His year of birth (1842) is slightly out but he is listed as David Jones, born in Flintshire, Wales, and living in Hanley, Staffordshire (where he remained for a further 20 years at least.
He is 'boarding' with a Henry Jones and his wife, (possibly Lisa). Henry was 23 years of age in 1861 and also came from Flintshire.
Could he be David's brother?

Hi,

There is also an Elizabeth Jones, born 1847 in Flintshire, Wales, living in Hanley in 1861. She is listed as being 'sister' to the head of the household who happens to be called Robert (aged 26 years), and his wife, Sarah (aged 21 years).

Yes Sue,I also found this David with Henry as a possible.Still can't find David in 1851 though.There are one or two seemingly unattached Davids in 1851 though.

Though as far as the Elizabeth is concerned,the entry by Keyboard given for 1851 is probably correct.David's father Samuel though is a bit of a puzzle!
