Really . I didn't know that.. Harriet died in 1926 ? But I will have to check .
As for Isaac I know he was born in 1808 ? But not sure where.
He is on the 1841 census but with the youngest daughter being Isabella not Harriet Isabella but I'm sure that is the right Isaac .. Or I was sure lol.
What information comes with the one who died in 1842 such as when born ect..
I was told he was in the scots guard and was also a yeoman but I just thought that was a family rumour .. Thank you for your help x

That's definitely the right one as her married name was Clifton and they lived in Hastings .. So birth more like 1840 ?.... I'm very grateful x

I wonder if the fact that the girls give their place of birth as Tower of London gave rise to the story that Isaac was some sort of guard/yeoman/beefeater.
In 1841 he was a carpenter, and we know he died soon after that.

Yes it does look that way but why the work house if he was a yeoman/ beefeater ?
When his daughter married she apparently put on her marriage certificate that he was in the guards.
I can't verify this as I haven't seen the certificate myself but I will follow that up.
Maybe that was a story someone told her as she would of only been 8 when he died .I don't know what happened to the children when her mother died in 1842 as in whether they stayed with their father or brought up by someone else such as their aunt and uncle , the Nabbs/Knabbs in Suffolk.
