I see Vera's baptism throws another Christian name for her father into the mix.

Yet another Christian name. Now 'James' says married but against Alma it could say wife or widowed. This gives Alma's birthplace as London gives her age as 26 but they are all boarders.

There are suggestions that Graham was born Charles Graham Baker on 22/1/1872 in Glasgow son of Charles Baker and Florence Craig.

Now that 1872 birth is sending some alarm bells to me, why? The Christian name Florence not known before Florence Nightingale became famous.

 If you look at Free BMD the earliest Florence registrations were 1856 making Florence Craig 16 or less. Possible I guess if Florence was as popular in Scotland ( if Florence was Scottish ).

Merval went to the USA in 1920 with the name of Craig, but looks as though he returned to England and died here.

In 1908 16 York St Covent Garden was the office of  TACT The Actors Children Trust. A charity who looked after children whose parents had been actors.
