This is the marriage of John Bastard's parents

Marriage Place:   Saint Nicholas,,Kent,England
Spouse:   Elizabeth Mezzen
FHL Film Number:   0992530, 0992531-32

William is 'believed' to have been born in Gerston, Devon abt 1723.
parents of William or Elizabeth Mezzen unknown.
This will be a search on another board, due to location.

Then you have work a bit but if you get to the set of Images for St Nicholas,  Rochester Marriages it will be on image .....391jpg.

Newington next Sittingbourne PRs are not complete at Canterbury Cathedral Archives but I found the marriage on the BTs.  The detail of which is below,

1778 November 24 John Patchcutt of the Parish of Sheerness (in Sheppey) and Ann Andrews of this Parish by Banns.

The marriage found on Family Search, I assume, was the Banns!
