Caddick family in dudley worcestershire in 1800's
« on: Thursday 02 October 14 14:14 BST (UK) »
Hi I am new to this site and would like to know if anyone has any information on the Caddick family in Dudley, worcestershire. I have got as far as Theophilus Alfred Caddick born abt 1849 in dudley who married a Phoebe Moore at st Paul's  in Tipton, staffordshire. This listed his father as Joseph Caddick. Would love to hear from anyone who may have any information. Thanks :)

There's a Theophilus "Hamphil" Caddick on the 1851 census - doesn't look like Alfred on the image either but very hard to read - b 1850 in Dudley. Is this the family? : -

Joseph Dixon Caddick, 44, brush maker b Dudley
Lydia 50 b Dudley
John 8 son b Dudley
Theophilus Hamphil 1 grandson b dudley

Hi, if he was reared by his grandfather, he may have put him down has his father, on the marriage.

Unlikely a 48 yo would be having a child.
These are the known children to Joseph & Lydia:
Mary Ann B1831
Sarah B.1834
Esther B.1836
John B.1842
All Dudley.
You need to look more closely at Mary Ann & Sarah.
