Margaret Elsie Saunders
« on: Thursday 02 October 14 18:34 BST (UK) »
Hello everyone , I am researching my friends Grandmother.  She was born Margaret Elsie Saunders about 1928 I think in Ilford Essex.  She Married Thomas Edward Pollard in 1944 Ilford, on the Marriage certificate her father is Frederick William Saunders a metal machinist.   I cannot find her birth entry as I want to buy her birth certificate and I am trying to find her mother but cannot find any information.
Hope you help
Thank you in advance
Sarah

Does her death certificate give her date and/or place of birth?
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

b.1928 & m. 1944 means she was 16. Is that correct ?
Were there any rellie witnesses ?
How do you know she was born Margaret Elsie if you don't have her birth cert ?

That doesn't necessarily mean it was her name at birth. It could have been Elsie Margaret.
Just a thought.
does it say she was 16?

It says she was 17, I did think the name might not be correct as I can't find it but from what my friend said she was called Margaret but know as Peggy
