 I have found one William Owens in Cardiff as a labourer and one as a Master Mariner Merchant Service on 1861 Cencus

 Mary Ann was married  were married 1874 and I cant find either father  in1871

I agree with Pilot, so following up the Master Mariner one would be a good move.

Yup, Pilot. I live on the coast as well and there are many Pilots listed in the records.

I wonder where Abraham Dimberline the witness fits in looks like he was born c.1800 Snaith master shoe maker and died 1875 Goole aged 75?
