How does one search for an address in 1891 census?
« on: Sunday 05 October 14 12:23 BST (UK) »
William Robinson and most of the family has disappeared in 1891. They are living at Highfield Rd, Saltley in 1893 when son Ike joined army. Wondered if possible to search 1891 census by address and see if some quirk is hiding them.

Oddly enough William leaves Highfield Rd later when he re marries but returns in 1901 when son Charles is born. I wonder if a family link to Highfield road

I think I can see him in B'ham 1851 but do you have him on any other census?
OK I see it's a different William.

RG 12/2427   folios 72-79, 84

The returns also show Highfield Road on folios 70-71, so you might want to start browsing from there.

Hi Martin,

Have you tried the piece numbers and folios which Stan and Bookbox have given?

I tried to search for them with the 1881 address also but wasn't successful. When did his first wife die? Could that be a reason?
Do you have the number for Highfield Rd to check who is at that address?
