Tunstall Stoke upon Trent in 1891 census

I'm looking for someone who lived in Tunstall, Stoke upon Trent in 1901. I can't find them in 1891, does anyone know which district of Stoke in 1891 corresponds to Tunstall?

Sorry, cant answer your question, but if you give us a full transcription of the 1901 census, plus any other relevant info about the person/family, I ( and lots of others) will be willing to have a look in 1891 for you.

Tunstall was just Tunstall as far as I know. There was no Stoke-on-Trent at the time.

If you look at the link I gave the Registration District is Wolstanton

Thank you Stan, Wolstanton was the answer I needed.

Also thank you for the offer lizdb, I was encouraged by your quick response. None of the usual searches are finding the couple I'm looking for so either the census missed them altogether or it's been transcribed as something unrecognisible. I'm happy to do the task of checking the census manually, it sometimes throws up other family members in neighbouring streets to follow up.
