Sarah Elizabeth "Eliza" Henderson b circa 1785 Westmoreland County PA - member Fairfield Presbyterian Church, Fairfield Twp. m Abraham Hendricks, Jr b 01 Jun 1785 Ligonier Valley, Westmoreland County, PA -- these are my 2nd paternal great-grandparents. Most of the church records are locked away in the Presbytery Archives. My research shows that the Hendersons of Westmoreland County were Highland Scots descendants; whereas the Hendersons of the neighboring county Indiana County were Lowland Scots descendants. We originally had Eliza associated with the Lowland Henderson family with a father of Rev. Joseph Washington Henderson. I found a name/date conflict that forced me to reconsider the ancestry - the documentation I had received was incorrect. The historical records are scant. The Hendricks side is well documented and mostly associated with the Highland Scots of Jamison, Stewart, Clark and Chalmers. Any help would be welcome.
