Who Did Mary Hulme Marry?

there appears to be something like a difference of opinion between Free BMD(Ancestry) and Cheshire BMD as to who Mary Hulme married in the Jan/Feb/Mar quarter of 1857 in the Altrincham District of Cheshire.Free BMD lists her as marrying a John Venables,whereas Cheshire BMD list an Altrincham Civil Marriage to a William "Allman".

The reason why William Allman does not appear in FreeBMD is that the transcriber is unable to decipher the page number.  As only two names are shown, then I'm assuming that other transcribers had the same problem.  There is a note on the entry for William that the expected page range is 201-231.

Thanks,yes I belive this is Mary in 1861-RG09/2587/15/23.

The whole query centres around the child showing as Emma Almond in 1861.I strongly believe that she is the Emma Almond who was later to marry a Charles Ellis at Wrexham Denbighshire in 1882.

familysearch has with parents William and Mary - first 2 are bap in St Paul Chester - even though they live a long way away nr Macclesfield ??...was Mary Hulme from Chester ?

of course this might not be your William and Mary ....how far is Northenden and Macclesfield from Altringham ?
but with Emma being a child - I would say it looks like your Mary Hulme / William Allman

ADDED...Northenden is 5 miles from Altringham
was Mary Hulme b 6th jan 1837  and have a twin William Hulme - born Macclesfield - parents Robert and Sarah ?

Further digging and looking at Trees on Ancestry shows that Emma daighter of William and Mary married an Edward Ford in 1879.However all is not lost for it now appears that the Emma who married  the Charles Ellis was in fact born in Churton Cheshire in c 1859 the daughter of a William and Harriet Almond.
