Stinchcombe's of Hawkesbury
« on: Wednesday 15 October 14 15:00 BST (UK) »
Hi I was wondering if there are any people on here researching the Stinchcombe family. My Stinchcombe's were from Hawkesbury and Wotton Under Edge.

Welcome to RootsChat! ;D

Have you checked the Surnames Interest Table?

Scroll down to the bottom of any RC page and, in the dark bos, under "Your Tools" you will see "Surname Interests".

Click on that; then "Quick Search"; Enter capital letter of "S".
Then scroll down until you see "Stinchcombe".
Click on the name and you will see all those RCers researching the surname!

And don't forget to add your own interests there! ;D

I am!  You might find the Hawkesbury family history website useful, although it does tend to go offline every so often - http://www.hawkesburyhistory.org.uk/
Mullingar, Westmeath Ireland: Gilligan/Wall/Meagher/Maher/Gray/O'Hara/Corroon (various spellings)
Bristol: Woodman/James/Derrick
Bristol/Somerset: Saunders/Wilmot
Gloucestershire:Woodman/Mathews/Tandy/Stinchcombe/Marten/Thompson
Wiltshire: Mathews
Carmarthen: Thomas, Lewis
Australia: Mary Lewis, transportee, married Henry Brown - what happened to her?
