How to tell if a Manchester marriage was 'registrar attended'

I have seen replies ( by some more expert than me) who are able to tell if a marriage was registry office / registrar attended by the Volume / Page no on the index, so I'm hoping..........
The marriage in question is Manchester Sep quarter 1874 Vol 8d Page 451, Susannah Cullen marrying  William Harrop or John Lattin.
(Can't find it Lancashire OPC.)

Thanks, everyone. I've only just started looking at the Cullens, so I'm still feeling my way. This is probably not  the marriage I'm after, so I think this question should be considered  completed for the moment. I need to check back through notes from years ago and spend time on the Lancs BMD site (a site I find awkward to use on my tablet and consequently avoid). Back to the old PC tomorrow morning.
