Thanks Heather,
It's still early days with this particular branch - 2nd wife of my great grandfather  Found a note of a family story from years ago which has let me trace her line back another generation. Still exploring possibilities. Sat and grinned for five minutes when I found her parents'  marriage which tells me these Cullens were from  'Co. Clare, Ireland'.
Took me thirty years to find which county some of the others were from.
Oh, the joys of Irish reasearch !
