Hi Ruby

Welcome to Rootschat!  ;D

I take it you trying to find out what became of him after a certain time?   He could still be living, admittedly a good age, but still - so we do need to be mindful of  (his & and family) privacy.

If you haven't got the information already, you need to obtain his birth certificate and his date of birth. If he has already passed away, his date of birth may be the key to recognising him in the death indexes.

There are 2x  William A WILSON births indexed in the London / Middlesex Reg Districts. Maybe you might recognise him from his Mother's MS?

Hi Ruby ...

If you know that he stayed in the Plaistow area (London Borough of Newham), then I'm sorry to say that I may have found a death registration for him - William Alfred WILSON (estimated year of birth 1916) in Jun/Jul/Aug 1988 in Newham RD.

Sorry not to have better news for you.

Pennie

ive been on Genes Reunited, I couldn't find a death for him, I did get a lot of information on him, ie marriage citficate , and possible birth, as I believe he was born in the shoreditich area of London , if he was born in 1915 would it come in the 1916 bracket?

If Pennie's find isn't the correct one, though I suspect it is, he could have died after 2007 and  therefore there would be no Death record available

Hi

Welcome to rootschat  :)

What information does the marriage certificate give for William.  As you are not completely sure as to his place of birth it is always wise to take one step at a time.

As Ambly says it helps to have the date of birth when trying to confirm death records so you really need to establish exactly when he was born.

Death certificates after 2005 are available it is just not possible to search for them online, the indexes are held at a few major libraries

Hi,
A possibility?
There is a death in Wisbech 1969
William A Wilson dob 18 July 1915

In the Army service records there is a record for a William Henry Wilson and mentions his wife Emma(Osborne) and three children, one being William Alfred Wilson born Shoreditch 18th July 1915.
William Henry Wilson came from Raubon, Wales.
