"History Of Launton" by Rev. J.C. Blomfield
« on: Monday 20 October 14 05:50 BST (UK) »
Is anyone able to tell me where the Rev. J.C. Blomfield's "History Of Launton" is held?

I believe it exists only as a manuscript, but the internet is not forthcoming about its location.

If my post is fortunate enough to find someone familiar with the contents, I would like to know what Blomfield's sources were for the period around 1638.  Was it the manor court rolls or did he use something else?

Thank you for your help.

Hi - Blomfield's notes were deposited at The Bodleian Library, Oxford, in 1953:

Hi Graham,

Thank you, it is much appreciated.  I had tried the Bodleian catalogue but was looking under the "HoL" title.

I will get in contact with the Library.
