I would like any information on a James Taylor born circa 1858, who married a Martha Porter in 1876
They lived  near Imlick, Killea in Donegal. and James was father to Robert, William, Mary, James, John Porter, Edward and Elizabeth

What sort of information are you looking for?

James & Martha:

Possibly related? "Taylor, James of Imlick Carrigans county Donegal retired farm labourer died 1 December 1962 Administration Belfast 16 August to Elizabeth Taylor spinster. Effects £602 13s."

To go further back you will need to search for records such as James & Martha's marriage certificate (to get theor residences at time of marriage, fathers' names & occupations, etc.), church records to see if you can find baptisms (which might give mother's first  or first & maiden name), etc.

Can anyone shed light on a James Taylor who married a Mary Kane in Magherafelt in 1854?

They appear to have had two children : William born 1857,  and james in 1858, both born in Arboe?
