George Palmer Langston and Mary Langston - Wardley, Gateshead

I'm looking into my family history and I thought I should start with my paternal Grandparents, George Palmer Langston and Mary Langston who both passed sometime between 1955 and 1965, when I was just a small boy.

I have been informed that they lived in Wardley, Durham (as was) but I don't have an address and wouldn't know where to start to find one any help would be gratefully received.

It appears George was born prior to marriage:-
