I'm wondering might this be the marriage  ???

Owen / Eugene are variations of the same name (41 on attached)

I am sure that will be the right one. Eugenium was the Latin for Owen, and Mariam for Mary.

I wonder Tara if this is St Andrews in Westland Row. The thing is it did not open until 1834..the marriage was in 1831..unless their there was a older church there before the new one..any ideas ? Could not find any trace of an older one, Thanks again.

Hi There

I've often wondered the same thing but as I never had any family's BMD's there I never followed it up.

All google results show that there are records for St. Andrew's going back to the early 1700's YET all building references to St. Andrew's relate to Westland Row and the 1832 / 1834 / 1837 dates.

I can only presume that the 1832 building was to replace an earlier building yet I can't find a reference  ???

If I find something I shall post it !

Tara

Many thanks Tara for your effort i appreciate it. :)  I have some ancestors who have petty arrests,Catherine daughter of Owen and Mary and her daughter Anne Brien, was it common to give a false street of birth or address Tara ? I know it was common to move from tenement to tenement. Thanks again.
