Ranby Notts Licensed School Room
« on: Thursday 30 October 14 01:52 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help me with information about the Ranby Notts Licensed Schoolroom in the mid 1840s. I am hoping to confirm that my g/g grandmother Sarah Spikes taught there prior to her marriage to John Thomas Spencer from West Markham in 1848. Thank you!

Hello & welcome
Ranby school appears to have been a Methodist school & therefore licenced.
Was she a Methodist?

Thanks for your quick response Jim. I don't actually know if Sarah was a Methodist. It's possible.
