Mcguckian Devlin Savage

My father has died Patrick Joseph Mcguckin 1928.
and I'm in possession of his document!  I now know our surname is Mcguckian!  His father was Patrick Joseph Mcguckian!  His mum Norah mcguckian!  Previously Devlin she married Samuel Devlin 2013. previously Savage.he's maiden name!  My dad had two sisters!  Maggie and Catherine!  both have since died! Catherine died early in life and Maggi had 3 children!  She married a Tyrrell. Can anyone help me

Are you saying your father died in 1928 & you have his death cert or he was born 1928

Previously Devlin she married Samuel Devlin 2013.

This can't be correct can it?
& are you saying Patrick married Norah Devlin the widow of Samuel & her maiden name was Savage?
Do you have any dates & places for any of these events?

Just to clarify for others reading your thread:

Samuel Devlin married Norah Savage on 4 December 1913 in Belfast.

Patrick McGuckin married Norah (Savage) Devlin on 2 May 1919 in Belfast. This couple had your father.

Looking at the folk in the 1901 census return...

The Ulster Historical Foundation website 'AncestryIreland' search index brings back the following County Antrim birth/baptism records for parents Patrick Savage and Nora(h) Moore: Hugh Savage 1887; Ellen Savage 1888; Nora Savage 1890; Mary Savage 1894.

GRONI online also has them all: Hugh born 11 June 1887; Ellen born 25 April 1888; Norah born 18 April 1890; Mary born 18 May 1894 - £2 to see the "full" record, including digitised image.

GRONI online has a death registered in Belfast for a Hugh Savage, died 31 August 1887, reported age 0.

GRONI online has a death registered in Belfast for an Ellen Savage, died 17 February 1891, reported age 2 (gender male, but that looks like a mistake).

GRONI online has a death registered in Belfast for a Norah Savage, died 23 October 1895, reported age 29.

So I'm thinking:

- Patrick Savage and Nora(h) Moore had son Hugh in 1887 (died same year);
- they had daughter Ellen in in 1888 (died 1891);
- they had daughter Nora(h) in 1890;
- they had daughter Mary in 1894;
- Nora(h) (Moore) Savage died 1895.

While I couldn't find a civil marriage record for Patrick Savage and Nora(h) Moore on GRONI online, the Ulster Historical Foundation website 'AncestryIreland' search index brings back an 1886 marriage record for this couple, the groom's father is Hugh Savage, the bride's is Richard Moore, record content is pay to view.
