Where is this Hotel? COMPLETED THANKS

I have just received a number of photo's from a relation, one of I cannot identify can anyone help. The photo was in a folding wallet measuring 4" X 7" with a symbol on the front which I have attached.

Is it possible that the wallet is a "souvenir" from WW2?

I am well aware that the swastika has been used for thousands of years as a good luck symbol, but (obviously) more recently has a different connotation?!

Thanks everyone. It is certainly Whitby. The sad thing is I only live 22 miles away and I have never seen it. The Wallet was with the photo when I got it so I do not know if they are an original item.

One last thing, can anyone put a date to the photo?

ask the Hotel when they lost the Dutch Gable ends from the centre section, that will start to pin it down ...

Agree with AJ, I think 20's-30's is about as close as you'll get.
The Swastika was of course the symbol of the National Socialist Party well before the war.
