In the GORTLETTERAGH ROMAN CATHOLIC (same church some of Michael Carney's children were christened) there is a Michael Carney & Anne Higgins christening several children between 1853 and 1862. It is possible these are Michael's parents. There is a James, John, Sarah, Daniel, James & Francis. No sign of Michael, but it's a possibility.

There is a Michael Carney &  Anna Higgins marrying 19th June 1838 in Cloone.

Wouldn't that be the sudden death due to internal haemorrhage Date:    17 June 1886
Newspaper Subject:    Carney Francis (Son of late Michael) (Mullaghbrack Mohill)   ???

is a Carney/Murphy "connection" with "Beneficiary/Executor Patrick Joseph Murphy"

Just something that MIGHT be worth noting?

The Death was in Cavan... doesn't mean he was "of Cavan"!
