Ray,
There would be little point to Rootschat if people did not engage publicly with information in their requests and responses. However, as you have indicated, in this kind of case, very little could be done in the public domain.
I agree with Nanny Jan. The original request was vague and unclear and it was responded to with the typical kindness and courtesy of most rootschatters - within a short time and guidance was offered.
It seems that Helen posted her request and did not return. Her profile shows this. There is very little anyone can do in those circumstances.
It is possibly due to Rootschat's style of publicity that several old threads reappear and are answered without awareness of the original date. This is perhaps what has happened with this one.
As you have clearly pointed out, there may be reasons and there may be a response to this two year old request.

lots of people looking for live relatibes dont know that there are sites which do help
Genes Reunited has a very good forun which if advanced search worked would be even better not many pple fo on there now tho but record does stay
