1911 photo
« on: Wednesday 05 November 14 20:50 GMT (UK) »
Hi everyone,
I wonder if anybody has the same photo as me? It belonged to my late grandmother.  It's around 1911 and we think it's something to do with the Bowes-Lyon family. Can anyone tell me more about it please? Sorry that the pianist face is damaged.
monky.

It doesn't really look as if the damage to the pianist's face is deliberate.... Do you have any other photos that show anyone else in the group? What makes you think there's a Bowes-Lyon link? It certainly looks interesting, and reasonably well-off, although there's no overt display in clothes or jewels....
Threlfall (Southport), Isherwood (lancs & Canada), Newbould + Topliss(Derby), Keating & Cummins (Ireland + lancs), Fisher, Strong& Casson (all Cumberland) & Downie & Bowie, Linlithgow area Scotland . Also interested in Leigh& Burrows,(Lancashire) Griffiths (Shropshire & lancs), Leaver (Lancs/Yorks) & Anderson(Cumberland and very elusive)

My grandmother died in 1981, and I only saw this photo for the first time a few weeks ago. It was given to me by my 84 year old aunt, who told me it was something to do with the Bowes-Lyon family which I presume that's what she was told, of course she could be wrong. My gran is the one sitting cross legged far right.
I only know what I was told by my aunt.
