Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

In your reply 12 you said you know her father was John because signed the certificate.
He did not sign the certificate  he was just named as her father.

Hallmark has already found the birth and put a snip up earlier on in the thread and as quoted.....and the link.  She was born  6/9/1874.  It uses the latinised first names as was common in those days so she is shown as Brigida.

The two links show the church baptism and the civil registration.

Also follow the link for the sibling that hallmark found.....he has the wonderful first name of Hieronymus. It also lists the sponsors.

Using the combination of Catholic Parish registers for the church records and  and the irish genealogy site is a wonderful way to track church and civil.

Dathai posted that birth in reply #8, it looks like Bridget doesn't think it's the one she's looking for.

Yes she now has both Civil and Church links to the birth of Bridget Sexton. each with something special in that church has the sponsors, who may be related and the civil has John Sexton making his mark as the informant for the civil birth registration.
