I noticed several people mentioned Michael Keeffe as a member of the Keeffe family coming to NZ from Ireland, Dublin, and marrying Mary Goulton in Kaeo. Dates of death were correctly recorded for both. However, this Michael Keeffe was from County Cork. He indeed died at 95. He was, in fact, my grandfather, and a lovelier person you could never find. Therefore, Michael and Mary Keeffe were my grandparents. They had a son, Jim, and daughter Sarah - my mother and uncle. Michael did not come with his parents, he came alone, working on the boats, jumping ship in Auckland. If anyone would like further information I would be pleased to help.
