COMPLETED - Trinity Church, West Bromwich Marriage Lookup Please
« on: Sunday 16 November 14 22:36 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I am hoping someone can check the marriage of Ephraim STUCHBURY on 05 Feb 1854 for me. Am particularly interested in the  bride's name and status (widow/spinster).

Thank you

If you check Family Search it shows this file

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.2.1/MWCB-TKH

Spouse shown as Ann Easter Turvey

However - www.westmidlandsbmd.org shows her as Ann Gunthorp

If you check freebmd you will find an 1850 marriage between Ann Easter Turvey and William Gunthorpe in Buckingham

Thanks for that CaroleW

I was not aware of westmidands.bmd but that would make sense as I suspected she was Anne Easter TURVEY widow of William GUNTHORPE, but that causes me another problem.

There is a death in 1852 but in Warwickshire.  However - he may have been a mariner and died at sea

1851 census for Bucks shows William as 28 and Ann E as 23 both born Gawcott Bucks.  He was an agric labourer

That is my problem. She has a child baptised later in Gawcott, the DOB is 11 months after the Warwick burial, though she is a widow on the entry.

There is another death in Lincoln in 1853 which you can ignore as it was an infant death.

The Warwickshire death was March qtr 1852 but I think the childs middle name is the clue to the father - don't you ;D
