Researching the Croudace family
« on: Tuesday 25 November 14 22:50 GMT (UK) »
Hello all

I posted this message in another thread, but it hadn't been active for a year so thought it would probably be ok to repeat here. I am the grandson of the late Marie Townsend, formerly Croudace (married to Rex Townsend, lived in Hereford), the sister of Mark and Glynn I believe. I'd love to be able to fill in some gaps in my family tree, so that I can pass on the information to my young daughters.

If anyone is able to help me out, please reply, and then I'll post a more detailed message of what the gaps are that I'm trying to fill in - thanks.

best wishes

Graham Townsend

Can you give some more info

When was Marie born and where - was Marie her birth christian name?

Same info for Rex

When and where did they marry?

When and where did they each die?

Hi and welcome back from me as well, was the birth of Marie in Monmouth in 1912 as I can see the 2 brothers Glynn and Mark with mothers maiden name Athow, but with an apparent sister Lena M Croudace, who appears to marry a Frederick R Scard in Sept qtr 1937 Monmouth 11a 52, so when did Marie marry Rex?

I do believe their is a much longer and older thread re this family, so will leave it at this or just ask what Graham is missing from his research?

Thanks for the replies. There is as you say a longer thread on this, as linked by Carole above. You have the right Marie there; the sibling names are all correct. I need to confer a bit with my father, and also take some time to fill in some of the blanks in my tree (from aforementioned thread). Then I'll be able to come back to you with what I'm still missing :-)

Thanks for all the help so far.
