hello I am new to this site so bear with me looking for imfo. on parkers from cowpen quay Northumberland my gr grandfather henry parker came to glace bay n.s  ca. n 1897 he was in the navy and went awol when he came to Canada he was to have taken his mothers maiden name that being Mitchell from my records I have found his father name was George parker and his mothers name was Margaret Thompson I have searched records from the uk but I am unable to find any connection  of parkers  thompsons or mitchells  George parker 1840 London Middlesex  Margaret Thompson 1842 cramlington Northumberland  henry parker 1877 cowpen quay could antone put in in the right direction as to where I may find such records  thank you George mitchell
