Family Name Aubrey
« on: Monday 08 December 14 10:57 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to trace a man by the name of RICHARD AUBREY from this area or any work friends or colleagues who stayed at the Granby Lodge Hotel, Scarcroft Road, York whilst working on a 2 year project during 1957. I think he was born around 1928 - 1932.

I believe one of the men went by the name of Richard (Mitch) Aubrey!

I would appreciate any help and information you could give me.

Which area?

There are 2 possible births, which can be seen on FreeBMD:
1926 Caernarvon
1934 Marylebone

I won't mention the full names, or mother's maiden name, because of the "No living people" policy.
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

The child born in 1926 died in 1926 so you can rule that one out.

Chloe

Are you guessing his first name was Richard or do you know this for sure?

I have been told that the first name was Richard - possibly born or lived in Wrexham -- thanks for your quick reply

Apologies - I am not sure if he is still alive or not! Born around 1926  then maybe not

There's also a Reginald Aubrey, born Wrexham, 1921?

Thank you for your response - I think the Richard Harold Aubrey born 1918 may be a little early. I have been told that he would be mid 80's now. Do you know of any records I could find on any major building contracts in the centre of York during 1956-1957?

Richard Norman Aubrey born 1934 marylebone died 2002 Buckinghamshire
