 :) Hello all,

Sorry for the delayed reply, errands I had to do, but I am here now.
I don't have Birth Certificates of the children, most of what  i have has been found by online
resources and I have got information off the BDM site without ordering a actual certificate.

A cousin of my husbands ( as these are his relatives) got the birth certificate of the eldest child,
Ellen Maud but apparantly no clues.

This is what else I know...

I know who was buried with Charles and their relationship/s to him.I guess I shouldn't of put that
he was buried with "ALL" his kids, that wasn't really what I mean't...I just said that so that I didn't have to list them all I guess..sorry about that.

I have a copy of the Cemetery records/index from off the Cds.

I had assumed that The baby referred to as Edmund belonged to Alice Dora, but I don't know how some of Charles' children died..I'm afraid I'm not very good at using some of the sites etc where you find Inquests etc.

I have also got help on some of my research over the years from others that have looked up things for me etc.

I found Ethels' name etc as the mother of one of the boys Emma was buried with..but couldn't find much else.

Kind Regards

mmm good find...So Hedley Wilbert was a Adopted son..mmm thats interesting,i hadn't come across that before anywhere mmm.

I wonder which Patterson adopted him??.

mmm wonder if it was indeed Charles and Emma or one of Charles children or siblings that Adopted Hedley?..

And I have no idea of the relationship between Ethel and the family either.

And I wonder what the relationship is of the other child buried there as well?.

You did not say ALL his kids.

I have only filled out the relationships for you in a proper way.
If you let go of accuracy in family history, you will begin to assume things and that is not the correct way to establish facts

If I needed to know all the names of all his children, I would ask you or look them up for myself.

Now there is no need to assume the child Edmund PATTERSON (Montague Edgar PATTERSON) was the child of Alice. The registrations show it clearly and their death index numbers are consecutive.

There is possibly no relationship between Emma PATTERSON and the child Lawrence Arthur LOCKETT.  It is possible that it was just a re-using of cemetery space.
His mother Gwenillian LOCKETT was born at Ballarat.

PARRY Gwenllian
Father  Wm Jas
Mother Charl WILSON
Birth Place  BALLARAT
Year  1905
Reg.   422

The child died at the address of the parents of Gwenillian. Gwenillian was married and lived according to electoral rolls, in Gippsland.

Charles PATTERSON died before the child Hedley was born, so he was not an adopting parent.

There was no legislation regarding adoption in Vic at that time.
